Great Britain U-12 Roster announced for Europe

The British Baseball Federation has today announced the players selected for the Great Britain U-12 Roster who will compete in the WBSC European Baseball Championship Pool B.

The team will head to Jánossomorja, Hungary, where the competition will take place from July 1 to 5. and will compete against Romania and Slovakia in Group A.

 The following players will represent Great Britain at the 2025 U-12 European Championship:

  • James Butcher

  • Ethan Farabaugh

  • Nathan Goodhew

  • Benjy Hepburn

  • Oliver Jago

  • Ames Kaiser

  • Torin Kingsmill-Norton

  • Ariana Lanfermeijer

  • Bond Osmancik

  • Emmett Rose

  • Matthew Smith

  • Shea Soloman

  • Freddie Stokes

  • Alex Theodorakis

  • Reuben Thomas

  • Roman Vargas Corneille

  • Tristan Watts

 

The clubs and leagues represented in the roster are:

  • LYBL

  • Ottawa Outlaws

  • Bristol Baseball Club

  • Guildford Baseball Club

  • Burlington Bulls

  • London Sports

  • Herts Baseball Club

  • Claremont Yankees

  • Boston Prime

  • Savage Baseball

The Great Britain roster features a history maker in Ariana Lanfermeijer, who will be the first ever female athlete to represent Great Britain U12s.

The roster also contains some strong ties to GB teams of the past 

Matthew Smith’s father, Alex Smith, is a former senior Great Britain player and is the all-time leader in IP, wins, and appearances, having played from 2001-2012.

Shea Solomon’s father, Ethan Solomon, helped Great Britain to a silver medal at the 2023 European Championship. Ethan Farabaugh becomes the third brother of the same family to compete for Great Britain.

Great Britain has also announced their coaching staff for the competition. Including:

  • Head Coach - Chris Ward

  • Third Base Coach - Jamie Dix

  • First Base Coach- Jess Vernon

  • Pitching Coach - Laura Hirai

  • Bench Coach - Paul Vernon

  • Operations Manager - Rich Jago

  • Operations Manager / Medical Officer - Nick Barnaby

The first game against Romania will be on July 1 at 12:30, before their second fixture against Slovakia on July 3 at 12:30. There will then be a third game against a team from Group B in the same pool, yet to be decided.

Group B includes Spain, Hungary, Lithuania and Poland.
