Great Britain Women’s roster announced for Euros 2025

The British Baseball Federation has announced the players who have made Great Britain’s roster for the WBSC Women’s Baseball European Championship 2025.

The tournament will be taking place in Hluboká, Czech Republic, from August 14 to 17.

Alongside  Great Britain, teams from France, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic will be competing for the title of European Champions.

 The following players have been chosen to represent Great Britain at the 2025 Women’s European Championship:

  • Bethany Casson

  • Saskia Davies

  • Betheliza De La Paz

  • Caitlin Frank

  • Katherine Golik

  • Chereen Harrocks

  • Ella Henson

  • Artie Herbert

  • Laura Hirai

  • Darier Malone

  • Emma Mclean

  • Samiya Rahman

  • Natasha Romoff

  • Gabriella Sassoli

  • Claury Scatcliffe

  • Jessica Vernon

  • Stella Veski

  • Sophie Willis

  • Oona Ylinen

An additional six players will be reserves for the squad. They are:

  • Kath Armstrong

  • Niamh Cogley-Rock

  • Becky Cottrell

  • Jessica Hastings

  • Amanda Taylor

  • Bella Wood

 The clubs represented on the roster are:

  • Manchester Baseball Club

  • Cardiff Merlins Baseball Club

  • SWWBL Serpents

  • Birmingham Baseball Club

  • Sheffield Bruins Baseball Club

  • Essex Baseball

  • London Mets Baseball Club

  • Bristol Baseball Club

  • Croydon Pirates Baseball Club

  • Herts Baseball Club

  • Belles Baseball

  • Bournemouth Bears Baseball Club

  • British Virgin Islands

  • Northants Baseball Club

 This year’s Great Britain Women’s roster features a number of players with national team experience as approximately half the squad was part of the team that competed in the last Women’s Baseball European Championships in 2022.

Great Britain has also announced their coaching staff for the tournament:

  • Head Coach - Pietro Sollecito

  • Pitching Coach - Lorenzo Pieri

  • Bench Coach - Gaetano Cristiano

  • Catching/1B Coach - Alex Pike

  • Hitting/3B Coach - Erick Henson

  • Bullpen Coach - Dani Briggs

  • Physio/S&C - Jesse Guffey

  • Operations Manager - John Baxendale

GWNT in Spring Training action

 Great Britain Women will play their first game of the tournament against holders France on Thursday, August 14, at 14:00 (13:00 BST). The next day, August 15, they will face the Czech hosts at 18:00 (17:00 BST). In their final fixed game, which takes place on August 16, Great Britain will go up against the Netherlands at 14:00 (13:00 BST).

If Great Britain make it into the Top 2, they will go through to the final and play another game on Sunday, August 17, at 13:00 (12:00 BST).
