Our weekly scores roundup of BBF games begins with week 4 of the National Baseball League.
The Herts Toucans visited the Croydon Pirates, who were seeking their first win of the 2025 campaign. The Toucans dominated both games, winning 13-1 and 8-2. This victory propelled their season to 3-3, while the Pirates remained winless at 0-6.
Mitsuhiro Watanbe (London Mets) strikes out six Arrows in Game 1
The London Mets, hosted the 2024 regular season champions, Essex Arrows, at Finsbury Park. The Mets secured a 13-5 win in game 1, thanks in part to a six-run third inning. Despite a comeback fight in the fifth inning, they managed to defeat Essex 8-4 in game 2. This victory brought their season record to 6-0, while the Arrows moved to .500 at 2-2.
Week 2 of BBF AAA South saw the first games of the season for Birmingham Metalheads, while AAA North had its opening weekend.
Birmingham fell to Bristol Badgers in both games, losing 1-5 and 2-5. This marked the Badgers’ third win of the season. Essex Saxons continued their winning start to the season, defeating the London Metros in both games by one run. Game 1 was won 3-2, while game 2 was won 5-4.
In the North, Newcastle’s return to the Northern League went with a bump. The Liverpool Trojans dominated the Nighthawks in game 1, winning 27-2. However, Newcastle managed to turn the tide in game 2, splitting the day with a 6-14 win.

Leicester Blue Sox travelled to Manchester, where they split their games. Despite an early lead from the A’s, Leicester won game 1 8-3. An eleven-run fourth inning ensured a Manchester victory in game 2, as the A’s won 3-17.
Last year’s AA playoff teams, Wragby Warhammers and Bootle Trojans, met in Liverpool. The Trojans secured a double victory on opening day, winning 13-11 and 16-5.
A packed weekend across the AA divisions saw Bournemouth Bears AA and Brighton Aces continue their perfect starts. Both teams moved to 6-0 for the season. Kent Buccaneers maintained their strong start, winning 7-1 against Bracknell Phoenix in a double over the team. Wellington Khaki Socks are still seeking their first win in the SWWBL after falling to the Cardiff Merlins in both games.
Guildford Mavericks put in a strong performance against Tonbridge Wildcats, sweeping Sunday with victories of 16-2 and 7-0. Herts Hawks opened their season with a 5-4 and 11-5 win over Oxford Kings. Their fellow clubmates, Herts Ravens, recorded their first win of the season over Formosa Islanders.
In single A, SWWBL Wessex, Exeter Spitfires went 6-0. The Spitfires won 35-5 and 26-21 over Taunton Pistols. Bristol Buccaneers kept their winning start going with two wins over the Bournemouth Bears A.

Both Cornish Pioneers and Torrington Riptides split their games and secured their first wins. Weston Jets moved to 6-0 with two convincing wins over New Forest Knights. Despite two very close games, Bristol Brunels are still winless after their trip to Yeovil Whirlwinds.
Both Norwich Rebels and Norwich Warriors split their respective games against Northants Centurions and Cambridge Royals in the EEBL.
