GB WOMEN EXTENDED ROSTER ANNOUNCED

The extended roster for the Great Britain Baseball Women’s National Team has been announced in preparation for the WBSC European Championships in August.

The final roster will be chosen in advance of the tournament which will see GB  take on France, the Netherlands and the hosts the Czech Republic from 14th August until 17th August.

“It was a really tough decision to choose the extended roster as every single player has worked so hard over the last couple of years to try and make the team,” said Head Coach Pietro Sollecito. “We have seen so much improvement in the skill levels and even though some may not have reached this stage the door is always open.”

In 2022, the the GB Women’s team made their European Championship debut and beat the Czech Republic in their first game.

“All the players deserve congratulations for the effort they have put in since the last tournament and we have every confidence they will do well in August,” said Glen Robertson, the BBF National Team’s Programme Official. “It is particularly pleasing to see this roster made up of players from every part of the country with each region well represented.”
